Meet the Journeys to Words team

Jen Hutchison
Jen was the founder, publisher and editor at Journeys to Words Publishing. She had just completed her Master of Writing and Publishing, at RMIT, with a distinction. She was passionate about writing, writers and good reads and JTWP was the fulfillment of her dream.
She had found her tribe. Along her journey to words, Jen engaged with and learned her craft from some of the best writers and teachers on offer – Patti Miller, Anne Manne, Toni Jordan, Tracy O’Shaughnessy, Stuart Horwitz, and Kate Ryan. They became her mentors and friends.
After a sudden cancer diagnosis at the end of May 2022, Jen underwent chemo and radiation but the cancer was aggressive and unrelenting. She died at home, peacefully, on 4 August 2022.

Graeme Clifford
After a long and successful career in bean counting and project management for advertising companies and an ink factory, Graeme is directing financial traffic at Journeys to Words Publishing. He’s good at it too.
On occasion, he packs books and catches the mailman. He aspires to grey-nomading around Australia, but, for now, he's manning the fort here at JTWP and being grandpa extraordinaire to three little ones.

Helen Collier
After 20 years in communications, advertising and event management in London and Melbourne Helen left the corporate world behind in October 2008.
She works for herself – managing day-to-day PR and comms for small businesses, including us here at JTWP.

Daniel Chelchowski
Daniel Chelchowski is our tech adviser, book cover designer and typesetter; a man of many hats and talents.
