Among the many and amazing messages and tributes we received on the news of Jen's death, Amanda Allan sent us this...
A TRIBUTE FOR YOU, JEN
What an amazing zest, you had, for Life.
Never faltering, even as the cancer must have been rife.
A few short months ago, competing in the Rokeby Twilight Run with me.
Successfully completing your thesis, and master’s degree.
Conducting and including all of us, in the fabulous writers’ camps in Terang.
Returning from your trek of the Overland track, your radiance sang.
You had that Special Gift, spurred by your “Joy de Vie”
It always fuelled your enormous passion to give.
You began, our wonderful Jindivick Writing Group, we’re forever in your debt.
Your enthusiasm infectious, your encouragement heaven sent.
So generous with your knowledge and time,
Encouraging and mentoring us to write, me in rhyme.
‘To improve your writing, bare all, “Chatham House Rules”,
Don’t be embarrassed, everyone has skeletons, no one here will view you as a fool’.
Your passion was to encourage mature age people to write,
Novels, Poems. Memoir, all drawing on experiences from our life.
Throughout our lives people come and go,
But it takes someone special, as you, to pass the ebbs, and make Life flow.
Everyone touched by you has been truly blessed.
Now in Peace, no more pain, your time to rest.
Amanda and Ken.
